One needn’t be a Bollywood superstar to boast of millions of likes on Facebook. Ask Kapil Sharma who’s overtaken Shahrukh Khan on the social networking site.
Believe it or LYAO, but the stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma, whose show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ has everyone glued to their TV sets on Saturday and Sunday nights, has beaten Shahrukh Khan in terms of Likes on Facebook. As per last count, SRK’s official page has 8.3 million likes, but Kapil’s page has 9.3 million (93 lakh). Such a following could make fame go to a celeb’s head, but Kapil Sharma is very grounded. “Obviously it does not mean I have greater following than SRK. He is a legend. Though he’s gone past Shahrukh Khan, Kapil is still behind the other stars like Amitabh Bachchan (11 million likes) and Salman Khan (15 million likes). In turn, these two superstars are trailing behind Deepika Padukone who tops the Facebook likes with a whopping 16 million following. As for now, Kapil Sharma is preparing for his debut Bollywood film, Bank Chor to be made under the YRF banner. At the same time he’s not going to ignore his telly show.
